God’s Garden hosts special events all year long. These events are not possible without your help. To volunteer, simply talk to your child’s teacher or the Preschool Director or contact God’s Garden at 480.460.0081 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Here is a description of our annual special events: Curriculum Night – Curriculum Night is held about 1 month into the school year. It is an opportunity for parents to learn about the Curriculum in the classroom. Parents will also get to see children’s work, ask questions, and learn about what the children have been doing and learning at school.
Parents Night Out - Need an evening without the kids? Parents Night Out offers parents a chance to have a night off while God’s Garden takes care of the kids. Go out for a night on the town while your kids are safe and having tons of fun at God’s Garden.
Harvest Festival - Our Fall Harvest Festival takes place at the end of October. Children participate in a costume parade, games, activities, and collect candy. Food is also available. Parents must accompany their child as teachers will be working the games.
Festival of Lights – God’s Garden sponsors a bouncer at the Festival of Lights on the Saturday following Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday lights in Ahwatukee. God’s Garden participates in running the bouncer.
Christmas Program - We will celebrate the birth of Jesus during our annual “Happy Birthday, Jesus” Christmas Program at Horizon Church. The event begins promptly at 5:30pm with the children singing Christmas songs in the Church Worship Center. Families are invited to enjoy milk and cookies in the Church Hub directly following the program.
Transportation Day – Join us for our 18th Annual Transportation Day on February 24, 2018. Transportation Day is our biggest event. It is an annual event that draws 3,000 children and their families to explore vehicles of all sizes, shapes, and types. You can experience all forms of transportation in late February on the Horizon Presbyterian Church and God’s Garden Preschool campus. Want to be a part of this exciting event? You can contribute to a raffle or participate through other Sponsorship Opportunities or you can help coordinate this event by volunteering to serve on our Transportation Day Planning Committee. Easter Service and Breakfast – We will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ during a special Easter Chapel and Breakfast buffet. The children will participate in an Easter Egg Hunt and a special Easter Craft. Families are invited to attend. This is a great way to get involved with our school.
Ahwatukee Kiwanis Easter Parade - God’s Garden participates annually in the Ahwatukee Kiwanis Easter Parade and Spring Fling on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. An Easter Parade Parent Coordinator is needed to organize the event and to find volunteers to participate in the parade. The event begins at 10:00AM and volunteers meet at the location (48th and Warner) 1 hour prior to the event to get set up. During the parade, God’s Garden and our summer camps are promoted. This is a fun event and a great way to get involved in our community.

Bike Safety Day will be headed by Don Cross, with the City of Phoenix Bike Safety Program. He will be accompanied by firemen and policemen to help run the program.
